For Christine, the study of feng shui began as a natural expansion of her pursuit of yoga after having taught yoga for fifteen years.
Yoga, being of Indian origin, has its own sister science called vastu shastra, which aims to achieve the same effect as feng shui, achieving balance and harmony between one's inner world and the external environment. But Christine has always been drawn to the Oriental arts as well as yoga, and sees them as being perfectly compatible. She has studied Tai Chi, I Ching, and Macrobiotics.
The ancient Chinese text, I Ching, is the foundation of all Chinese arts and sciences, including feng shui. Her interest in I Ching led her to the Emerald Feng Shui Institute in Seattle and its founder-director, Gisela Stehr, a professional consultant in Intuitive Feng Shui ®. In 2008 Christine decided that feng shui was the next step on her path of yoga. She enrolled in the two-year Feng Shui Intensive training program at the Emerald Feng Shui Institute from which she graduated as a certified feng shui consultant in September 2010.
During her two years in EFSI's feng shui practitioner program, she worked on improving the energy of her own living spaces, finding that the connection between inner and outer environments is quite real. She is excited to be ready to share this knowledge with others, so that they too, may experience the benefits of feng shui.
